What would a Ron Paul presidency look like?

With a little luck, Dr. Ron Paul will move into 2nd place for the 2012 Republican Presidential nomination.

Most voters are unfamiliar with Dr. Paul, so I decided to write this article to describe what a Ron Paul Presidency would look like.

In some ways this is very easy, because Ron Paul has a 30 year history of upholding one specific idea.
"The Constitution of the United States should be upheld and defended".

I'll describe what actions you could expect from Dr. Paul as president, then wrap up with his interpretation of the Constitution so you can judge how he would act on issues important to you.

A president has complete control over the "3 letter agencies" under our Constitution. As a constitutional scholar, President Ron Paul has a clear understanding of what can be done to begin America's restoration without asking Congress to pass new laws.

What would President Paul do immediately? Here's the list:
A 10% reduction in the federal work force
Conduct a full audit of the Federal Reserve for illegal activity during the bailouts.
Work with the Pentagon to get our troops home ASAP, and close most overseas military bases.
Close most of our 130 overseas military bases and use the troops to defend our borders.
Order the treasury department to begin replacing "Federal Reserve Notes" with "US Treasury Notes". (Treasury notes are free of interest payments and add nothing to the federal debt.)
Eliminate 5 cabinet level departments (Energy, HUD, Commerce, Interior, and Education)
Stop the EPA's unauthorized "Carbon tax/cap and trade" program.
Order all federal agents to not enforce unconstitutional regulations (which are different than laws)

What Dr. Ron Paul plans to do as president:
A president
A president is charged with "faithfully executing the laws of the United States", and has complete control over the executive departments. Ron Paul (as president) would have the authority to do the following things without having Congress pass new laws:

TAXES:
  • Lower the corporate tax rate to 15%, making America competitive in the global market.
  • Allows American companies to repatriate capital without additional taxation, spurring trillions in new investment.
  • Extends all Bush tax cuts.
  • Abolishes the Death Tax.
  • Ends taxes on personal savings, allowing families to build a nest egg.
CUT GOVERNMENT WASTE:
  • A 10% reduction in the federal workforce
  • Slash Congressional pay and perks
  • Curb excessive federal travel.
  • President Paul will take a salary of $39,336, approximately equal to the median personal income of the American worker.
SPENDING:
Cuts $1 trillion in spending:
  • Eliminate five cabinet departments (Energy, HUD, Commerce, Interior, and Education
  • Abolish the TSA and return security to the airlines and airports
  • Eliminate all corporate subsidies
  • Stop ALL foreign aid (so as not to play favorites with any country)
  • End all foreign wars (unless Congress votes to declare war formally)
  • Return spending to 2006 levels

Media pundits and Republican party insiders are quick to repeat the phrases 'dangerous' and 'unelectable'.

Treaties DO NOT Supercede Our Constitution

I didn't write this article. Whoever did did a superlative job of research.

The following qualifies as one of the greatest lies the globalists continue to push upon the American people. That lie is: "Treaties supersede the U.S. Constitution".

The Second follow-up lie is this one: "A treaty, once passed, cannot be set aside".

HERE ARE THE CLEAR IRREFUTABLE FACTS: The U.S. Supreme Court has made it very clear that

1) Treaties do not override the U.S. Constitution.
2) Treaties cannot amend the Constitution. And last,

3) A treaty can be nullified by a statute passed by the U.S. Congress (or by a sovereign State or States if Congress refuses to do so), when the State deems a treaty the performance of a treaty is self-destructive. The law of self-preservation overrules the law of obligation in others. When you've read this thoroughly, hopefully, you will never again sit quietly by when someone -- anyone -- claims that treaties supersede the Constitution. Help to dispel this myth.

"This [Supreme] Court has regularly and uniformly recognized the supremacy of the Constitution over a treaty." - Reid v. Covert, October 1956, 354 U.S. 1, at pg 17.

This case involved the question: Does the NATO Status of Forces Agreement (treaty) supersede the U.S. Constitution? Keep reading.

The Reid Court (U.S. Supreme Court) held in their Opinion that,

"... No agreement with a foreign nation can confer power on the Congress, or any other branch of government, which is free from the restraints of the Constitution. Article VI, the Supremacy clause of the Constitution declares, "This Constitution and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all the Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land...’
"There is nothing in this language which intimates that treaties and laws enacted pursuant to them do not have to comply with the provisions of the Constitution nor is there anything in the debates which accompanied the drafting and ratification which even suggest such a result...

"It would be manifestly contrary to the objectives of those who created the Constitution, as well as those who were responsible for the Bill of Rights – let alone alien to our entire constitutional history and tradition – to construe Article VI as permitting the United States to exercise power UNDER an international agreement, without observing constitutional prohibitions. (See: Elliot’s Debates 1836 ed. – pgs 500-519).

"In effect, such construction would permit amendment of that document in a manner not sanctioned by Article V. The prohibitions of the Constitution were designed to apply to all branches of the National Government and they cannot be nullified by the Executive or by the Executive and Senate combined."

Did you understand what the Supreme Court said here? No Executive Order, Presidential Directive, Executive Agreement, no NAFTA, GATT/WTO agreement/treaty, passed by ANYONE, can supersede the Constitution. FACT. No question!

At this point the Court paused to quote from another of their Opinions; Geofroy v. Riggs, 133 U.S. 258 at pg. 267 where the Court held at that time that,

"The treaty power as expressed in the Constitution, is in terms unlimited except by those restraints which are found in that instrument against the action of the government or of its departments and those arising from the nature of the government itself and of that of the States. It would not be contended that it extends so far as to authorize what the Constitution forbids, or a change in the character of the government, or a change in the character of the States, or a cession of any portion of the territory of the latter without its consent."
Assessing the GATT/WTO parasitic organism in light of this part of the Opinion, we see that it cannot attach itself to its host (our Republic or States) in the fashion the traitors in our government wish, without our acquiescing to it.

The Reid Court continues with its Opinion:

"This Court has also repeatedly taken the position that an Act of Congress, which MUST comply with the Constitution, is on full parity with a treaty, the statute to the extent of conflict, renders the treaty null. It would be completely anomalous to say that a treaty need not comply with the Constitution when such an agreement can be overridden by a statute that must conform to that instrument."
The U.S. Supreme court could not have made it more clear : TREATIES DO NOT OVERRIDE THE CONSTITUTION, ANDCANNOT, IN ANY FASHION, AMEND IT !!! CASE CLOSED.

Now we must let our elected "representatives" in Washington and the State legislatures know that we no longer believe the BIG LIE... we know that we are not bound by unconstitutional Treaties, Executive Orders, Presidential Directives, and other such treasonous acts.

Here's what Thomas Jefferson said on the right to renounce treaties:

"Compacts then, between a nation and a nation, are obligatory on them as by the same moral law which obliges individuals to observe their compacts. There are circumstances, however, which sometimes excuse the non-performance of contracts between man and man; so are there also between nation and nation. When performance, for instance, becomes impossible, non-performance is not immoral; so if performance becomes self-destructive to the party, the law of self-preservation overrules the law of obligation in others".
pg 317 - "The Life and Selected Writings of Thomas Jefferson," A. Koch & Wm. Peden, Random House 1944, renewed 1972.Jefferson also said in a letter to Wilson C. Nicholas on Sept. 7, 1803, Ibid. pg 573

"Our peculiar security is in the possession of a written Constitution. Let us not make it a blank paper by construction [interpretation]. I say the same as to the opinion of those who consider the grant of the treaty making power as boundless. If it is, then we have no Constitution."______________________________________________________________
Further evidence:

Excerpt from a letter from U.S. Senator, Arlen Specter, (R. Penn.) to constituent, November 3, 1994.

"Dear Mr. Neely:
"Thank you for contacting my office regarding the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. ... I have signed on as a cosponsor of Senator Bradley’s resolution [SR 70, which urges the president to seek the advice and consent of the Senate for ratification] because I believe that the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child is an appropriate step in the direction of promoting the well-being of children throughout the world. [he goes on to mention concerns that the treaty would subjugate familial and parental responsibility to an international entity, which he denies]

"... Secondly, the Convention would not override the U.S. Constitution; rather, as in the case of any treaty, any provision that conflicts with our Constitution would be void in our country... "

[CDR Note: It is our belief that Arlen Specter would not have been as truthful regarding Constitutional Supremacy over treaties if he had a clue that this letter to a constituent would have found its way into the hands or eyes of the public.]

Logical deduction:

No law or treaty supersedes the Supreme Law of the Land. 'Supreme'... meaning 'highest or greatest'. What is higher than highest or greater than greatest, other than our Creator? The Constitution acknowledges our God-given, unalienable rights, and secures those rights in that acknowledgment.

The Constitution gives the US Senate authority to ratify treaties with other nations. Americans have been propagandized into believing that those treaties become the supreme law of the land superseding the Constitution. Let's examine this deception closely and dispel the myth once and for all. Article VI of the Constitution states:

Clause 2 - "This Constitution and the laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof, and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the constitution [of any state] or laws of any state to the contrary notwithstanding."
Clause 3 - "The senators and representatives before mentioned, and the members of the several state legislatures, and all executives and judicial officers, both of the United States and the several states, shall be bound by oath of affirmation to support this Constitution ."

Laws made in pursuance of this Constitution are laws which are made within the strict and limited confines of the Constitution itself. No federal, state, or international law, rule or bureaucratic regulation and no state constitution can supersede B or be repugnant to B this Constitution.

Treaties made under the authority of the United States... the United States (federal government) was authorized by and on behalf of the people and in pursuance of this Constitution to enter into certain treaties with other governments. The United States (federal government) obtains its authority solely from the Constitution. It would be ludicrous to think that it has the power to circumvent (via treaties) that which grants it its authority.

In Clause 3, it is made clear that every elected official, both federal and state, is bound by oath to support this Constitution. Who can rightly, and genuinely claim to be given the power to destroy that which they are elected and sworn to uphold?

The powers granted by the Constitution cannot sanely be construed to provide the authority to usurp, preempt or eradicate it.

The U.S. Supreme Court as cited above correctly ruled that the supremacy of the Constitution overrides treaties. It should be noted that if any Court, be it a State, Federal or the U.S. Supreme Court, should ever rule otherwise, the decision would be repugnant to the Constitution and the ruling would be null and void. The answer to this question is self-evident.

The Constitution authorizes the United States to enter into treaties with other nations B the word Anation@ although not explicit, is certainly implied. The United Nations is an Organization - a Global Corporate Bureaucracy. The 'experts' in international law, commerce, banking, environment, etc.; and a cadre of alleged conservative / Christian-conservative leaders -- lawyer, Dame of Malta, Phyllis Schlafly being a prime example -- have been spewing forth propaganda to instill and further the myth of 'treaty-supremacy' for decades. Their 'expertise' is an illusion created apparently with hopes to instill a sense of inferiority in the 'common man' (their term) so we will all defer to their superior intelligence. Let's not go there.

Here's a perfect example of 'expert' propaganda on the supremacy question: On April 11, 1952, Secretary of State, John Foster Dulles (cfr), speaking before the American Bar Association in Louisville, Kentucky said...

"Treaties make international law and also they make domestic law. Under our Constitution, treaties become the supreme law of the land.... Treaty law can override the Constitution. Treaties, for example, ...can cut across the rights given the people by their constitutional Bill of Rights."
Mr. Dulles is confused about the People's rights. To repeat an earlier statement of fact: the Constitution doesn't 'give' us rights. The Constitution acknowledges and secures our inherent, Creator-endowed rights. What Creator gives, no man can take away.

The Dulles brothers worked (lied) long and hard to firmly establish the treaty-supremacy myth. And they realized it would have to be done by deceit -- propaganda. Admittedly by propaganda.

"There is no indication that American public opinion, for example, would approve the establishment of a super state, or permit American membership in it. In other words, time - a long time - will be needed before world government is politically feasible... This time element might seemingly be shortened so far as American opinion is concerned by an active propaganda campaign in this country..."
Allen W. Dulles (cfr) from a UN booklet, Headline Series #59 (New York: The Foreign Policy Association., Sept.-Oct., 1946) pg 46.

The question of "nationhood" in reference to the United Nations seems to have been addressed by the errant Congress. A quick fix apparently took place in the U.S. Senate on March 19, 1970. According to the Anaheim (Cal) Bulletin, 4-20-1970, the Senate ratified a resolution recognizing the United Nations Organization as a sovereign nation. That would be tantamount to recognizing General Motors as a sovereign nation. Are we beginning to get the picture?

Best Prayer I Have Heard In A Long Time...

Best Prayer I Have Heard In A Long Time...

Heavenly Father, Help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic last night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day and is rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and spend a few precious moments with her children.

Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man who can't make change correctly is a worried 19-year-old college student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting his student loans for next semester.

Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking bum, begging for money in the same spot every day (who really ought to get a job!) is a slave to addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.

Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow through the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are savoring this moment, knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got back last week, this will be the last year that they go shopping together.

Heavenly Father, remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give us, the greatest gift is love. It is not enough to share that love with those we hold dear. Open our hearts not to just those who are close to us, but to all humanity. Let us be slow to judge and quick to forgive, show patience, empathy and love. Matt 5:44

Protecting our electoral process

It's obvious the next area of attack is our election system.

It appears the radical socialist strategy to steal the elections falls roughly into four areas:
1. Granting Amnesty to illegal immigrants.
2. Universal (automatic) voter registration.
3. Allowing citizens with felonies to vote.
4. Removing the need to show positive identification at polling places.

Member States must act quickly to prevent being blind sided.
They must immediately begin the introducing bills to counteract this electoral corruption.
The state bills should declare:

1. All voters must be listed on the official state voter registration roles
2. Voters must present an acceptable form of photo ID
3. No "automatic federal registration" entries will be entered onto the state voter registration roles. A citizen MUST register in person at any valid voter registration place.
4. Convicted felons may not vote in the state of Georgia

Any comments?

Something EASY, and FREE you can do to stop the destruction of our health care system

Please go to  http://www.healthcarevote.com/ right now and click on the easy, one page opnion poll about the "health care" bill now in the Senate.  The two minute warning is sounding, folks.  Act now, or soon it will be too late.

Still undecided about the "health care" bill in the Congress?  PLEASE READ THIS...
Many good folks are compassionate, and want to make sure nobody goes without health care. That's a good and noble thing. Unfortunately, our politicians are using our compassionate nature to grab wealth and power at our expense.  The "health care" reform bill does not cover most people  who need coverage, and will destroy our magnificent health care system so politicians, unions, and big businesses can increase their power and profits.

If you value your job, your freedom, your parent's health, and your children's future, you must understand why it's important to oppose this new "law" now in the Senate. If the health care "reform" bill passes in the Senate, the president will sign it into law. If that happens, you can expect the following results:
  • Development of new drugs, technology, and life saving procedures will slow down, and eventually stop
Why? The entire system will be focused on COST, not on results
  • The oldest and youngest citizens will NOT get the treatment they need.
Why? COST will drive the system. Resources are not infinite, and people with the largest "benefit" to society will get treatment ahead of those who don't have a good chance of recovery, or many years left to live.
  • Unemployment will skyrocket as a result.
Why?  Insurance companies will go under first, followed by medical device, technology, and drug company layoffs. No-one will be able to create a profitable business in the health care industry, so no start-up companies will replace them.  The two biggest job creation engines in this country are 1) Government, and 2) Health care.  Private health care companies and insurers will become extinct, along with their jobs. (These folks are your FRIENDS and NEIGHBORS. They are not greedy monsters!)
  • It will drive the US Dollar to total collapse, followed by a catastrophic collapse of the US/European economies.
Why? The "official" cost estimate is more than 1Trillion dollars. That is with 4 years of tax collections for only 1 year of services. If this was a cost "saving", they wouldn't need to play this trick. Multiply the "official" estimate by a factor of at least 4x for reality.  The "official" estimate doesn't count the 2 Trillion  you will pay directly for insurance. Now the total is 6 trillion. Tax revenues will fall as business close and jobs are lost.  Add another 1 Trillion in shortfalls. Now it is 7 Trillion. The system they are building CANNOT BE SUSTAINED and any honest and educated politician knows it. The resulting deficits will devalue the US Dollar to the point of ruin, and the interest rates will rise so high we can no longer borrow to sustain our reckless spending. Rising interest rates and a devaluation of the dollar will drive more businesses and citizens into bankruptcy, further weakening the economy. Expect to see a "real" unemployment rate of 25%. (This happened in England!)
  • It will enslave our children or cause a break up of the USA.
Why? Our children are currently saddled with a $340,000 debt just for federal spending so far. (USDebtClock.org)  This bill could double that debt within 10 years.  That much debt can not be repaid by the people that live here.  The US will be forced to pay the debt with "fake", printed money or sell natural resources (that's LAND, folks) to foreign debtors. Either solution is very, very bad news for our kids.

Big labors dirty little secret...

I recently heard that labor union membership has dropped to around 7 1/2 % of the workforce in America. But the unions are growing.... How?  Fully 30% of all federal government jobs are unionized.  That's one of the reasons labor supports a growing federal workforce. It means DUES to the organization. To further grow their membership and dues, they are trying to get "Card Check" laws passed. If you haven't heard that's where a secret ballot isn't needed to unionize a place of business. This will further wreck our economy and is fundamentally un-American. Everyone deserves to vote by secret ballot so they won't have to fear retribution from making the "wrong" choice.  Please click HERE to sign the petition to DEFEAT the Card Check law introduced into congress.

It's easy and FREE. What are you waiting for???
